Tried eating here for the first time at Rumah Makan Ujung Pandang and it was a great experience! The food tastes really good and the seafood is super fresh. The place was quite full when I came, so if you plan to visit, it’s better to come a bit earlier to get a table. Definitely worth trying if you’re looking for authentic and fresh seafood dishes

We ordered : 1. (5/5) Grilled bandeng with no bones -- the waitress suggested having it roasted half sweet half spicy, I'm glad we went with it. It truly had no bones. I'm so surprised lol 2. (4/5) fried aubergine -- it was actually really good, the batter was super crispy. Only giving it 4 because I wish there's some sauce on it 3. (4/5) fried squid in butter -- was good, squid is not chewy at all. It's so crispy despite having drowned in sauce.

Really enjoyed the food here. The ikan sukang bakar was fresh and well seasoned, pallibutung was rich and comforting, and the pisang ijo was a perfect dessert. The kerapu kuah asam was delicious and refreshing, and the cah kangkung was perfect. Ikan bandeng bakar & Cumi Telur Asin was just okay and not something I would recommend. The highlight for me was the DIY Makassar-style sambal, customizable and seriously good. Generous portions, great flavors, and a solid spot for seafood. Would definitely come back!
